Sukie is a lovely French Angora spayed doe with a sweetly sassy streak and a deep dedication to precision. Particular, determined, and gifted with an eye for beauty, she approaches every stitch, loop, and handcrafted detail with the quiet insistence that it be exactly right—because Sukie believes true artistry lies in the details.
As our Director of Crochet & Fiber Arts, Sukie oversees all crocheted Homestead products, evaluating texture, color, craftsmanship, and cuddle-factor with her characteristically discerning gaze. She is committed to ensuring every handmade item reflects the warmth and charm of the Homestead—and her standards are famously high. If something is even a smidge off, Sukie will be the first to point it out (politely, but firmly).
Sukie’s beautiful angora wool once kept baby Holland Lops warm and cozy, wrapped around them like a soft hug. Now that her rabbitry days are behind her, she dreams of learning to have her wool spun into yarn—transforming her gentle fiber into something lasting, meaningful, and full of heart.
Fun Fact:
Sukie has been known to gently reposition a nearly finished crochet project with her paw, giving it a subtle “this is better” adjustment that somehow always improves the final result.
