Sweet Tart — Resident Golden Girl

Sweet Tart - Resident Golden Girl & HistorianSweet Tart - Resident Golden Girl & Historian

Sweet Tart is a tender, soft-spoken solid doe whose nine beautiful years make her the cherished Resident Golden Girl of the Homestead. With a lifetime of memories tucked beneath her gentle whiskers, she serves as our Historian, lovingly preserving the stories, traditions, and heart of our earlier days as Hot Cross Buns Holland Lops.

Quiet, affectionate, and deeply wise, Sweet Tart carries herself with the calm grace of one who has seen every season of the Homestead. She has slowed down in recent years, preferring cozy corners and soft bedding, but her mind remains bright. She remembers the old ways, the early rabbits, the beginnings of beloved routines—and she shares these precious tales with the younger staff, who gather around her with wide eyes and respectful hearts.

Her presence is a treasured comfort. When Sweet Tart speaks (in her soft bunny way), everyone listens. Her stories ground the Homestead in its roots, reminding us of how far we’ve come and how much love built the life we live now.

Fun Fact:
Sweet Tart can identify former employees by scent alone, and will often pause mid-nap to “reminisce” about them with a thoughtful nose-twitch.
